U-8 camogie round up 2015

Report By Bridget Brennan

What a great year and great team! We started off in May with our first blitz in St. Kieran’s College in which the girls did extremely well. From then on we had blitzes every month which were all successful. There were big turn outs at each of the games by both players and parents.

Each and every one of the girls are all-stars in the making with great skills, courage and wit. Striking and passing the ball are vital skills to have at u-8 level and the girls have it all! St. Brigid’s camogie club have brilliant players coming up at all levels and it is great to be part of it! We held our last training of the year on Saturday 26th September and had a great day with a match and tug of war and also a medal and certificate presentation. Thank you to Therese Muldowney and Emma Boland who presented these to the girls.
Thank you very much to all the parents for your continuous support all year. Thank you to Eleanor Cullen for sending out the texts all year and also to St. Brigid’s Camogie Club for their support. Finally, thank you to the girls for a fantastic year from all the trainers, Martina, Jackie, Miriam and Bridget.
