U13 Year End Report

What a year for this special group of players and the club overall.
We started back in January in Ballycallan Hall with Adrian Landy putting the lads through their paces over a ten week period. We started playing football in February and won the Roinn B Football Championship beating Barrow Rangers, Glenmore and Clara in the final. The school’s hurling took precedence next and they bet Thomastown in the Country Cup Football Final. Onto the school hurling and the winning streak continued with the lads winning both the Roinn A Championship and the Country Cup hurling. Also Ryan Corcoran and Jeff Neary played at half time in Galway, Ryan Cody played at half time in Croke Park at the Leinster Final and Jeff Neary at half time in the All Ireland Semi Final in Croke Park representing St. Aidan’s.
Back to the club and the League started in June with the lads reaching the final against James Stephens. After a titanic battle the game finished all square. Extra time couldn’t separate the sides and a replay was required with James Stephens prevailed.
In the championship we bet Dicksboro and Tullogher Rosbercon and we won the Tom Ryall Cup beating James Stephens in the final which was a massive achievement. It was a pleasure to work with a very committed bunch. Some members of this group also won the Lisdowney Sevens Shield, the Declan Bryne Shield and the O’Loughlins Under 15 tournament making it a very successful and enjoyable year.

Well done lads!!!!
