We finished our season on Wednesday 28th with a hard fought match v Tullaroan in Kilmanagh. The evening finished with goodies and presentation of a sliotar from the club to each girl to practice the skills they learned over the summer. Attendance at training/matches was excellent throughout the summer and hopefully we’ll see the girls back next April for more fun.
Equipment has arrived and we are ready to erect the new ball stopping nets behind all goals.
Please be aware there are safety issues involved with this work. On training evenings, the pitches are out of bounds to anybody not participating in training!
Well done to our Super U8 girls who had a great morning of Camogie in James Park on Saturday 17th August. Thanks to Dicksboro for hosting and providing the goodies. The Future looks bright for this super bunch of Camogie players👏🏼👏🏼
While the sun was absent from Tom Ryall Park, Kilmanagh on Sunday last, it was at least dry as the people flocked to the annual Family Fun Day. With proceedings starting at 12 noon, locals and visitors alike were treated to an event packed afternoon. The Ballycallan Fife and Drum Band led the teams of hurlers and camogie players around the manicured pitch and for the next two hours the aspiring stars played their hearts out in front of their proud parents and grandparents! Each team member was duly rewarded with a treat bag for their efforts.
