The Annual Drive for Liam Radio Quiz Night was held across forty three centres on Thursday 27th August last. This is one of the fund-raising events held by Kilkenny GAA in an effort to raise funds for the Senior Kilkenny Hurling Team in the run up to their All-Ireland appearance against Galway on the 6th September.
Graigue-Ballycallan GAA Club held their event in Brennan’s Bar, Kilmanagh and twelve teams participated on the night. The quiz commenced at 9pm and for the next two hours, eight rounds of general knowledge questions were mulled over by the eager crowd.
In addition to the major prizes on offer, prizes were given to the top three teams who scored highest in the centre on the night. An enjoyable night was had by all who took part. The local winners were as follows:
1st Place: Milo Hennessy, Brendan Hayes, Conor Power and James Gleeson
2nd Place: Dave o’Neill, Tracey McEvoy, Tommy Dermody and Ann O’Neill
3rd Place: Vinny Corcoran, Eoin Corcoran, Cathal Dermody and Adrian Butler.
Raffle Winners: Micheal Hoyne, Ann O’Neill, Gabriel Wall.
