U-8 camogie 2014 round-up

The under-8s started the year back on the pitch just before Easter. There was great turn out of 20 players at the start of the year. This was new to some of the girls as it was their first year of under-8s. They are a lovely bunch of girls and they are always willing to learn.

They started off in a blitz at the end of May. The girls played 5 games and a great day was had by all. As the weeks went by there was a blitz every month. We hosted our own blitz on Saturday 28th June. The girls all played very well, getting more into it every match. They became more confident with each game and enjoyed it very much. They had a great day at the Graigue Ballycallan/St. Brigid’s Family Fun Day where they played a few games. We finished our year with an invite to Inistioge to play 3 teams. These games were lively and lots of fun was had by all the girls.

On Wednesday 17th September Intermediate club member Therese Muldowney, who played corner back for the Kilkenny Intermediate team this year presented the girls with medals. The girls were all very excited. It was a great end to an even better year!
