GBC u10s got their hurling season off to a good start this morning in Kilmanagh in four very entertaining matches against strong opposition in Emeralds and Johnstown. Graigue Ballycallan fielded two teams, Blue and White. The Blue team took on the Fenians of Johnstown first and with an excellent performance they came out well on top. Next up Emeralds. GBC started well but Emeralds struck a goal before half time leaving it 1-01 to 1-00. Emeralds struck again early in the second half, leaving the lads behind 2-00 to 1-01, but they stood up well and drew level on the final whistle. There were great scores from Billy Egan, Conor Walton, Aaron McEvoy, Sean Roberts and Martin Brennan.
