Graigue Ballycallan played Thomastown in the Minor Hurling League last Monday in Thomastown. Thomastown were fastest out of the blocks and had two goals on the board within the first fifteen minutes. Sean Ryan scored five points in the half while Ciaran Hogan, Dylan Lanigan and Colum Prendiville added a point each. Just before the break, Dylan Lanigan netted for GBC, following good work by Sean Ryan. It was all to play for at half time as the score read GBC 1-8, Thomastown 2-6.

GBC Minors took on Piltown in Kilmanagh in the first round of the Roinn A hurling league. The home side were slow to settle into the game and almost 20 minutes had passed before they found their rhythm. Read more

The Graigue-Ballycallan Gaa Club held their juvenile medal presentation night in Ballycallan Hall on Saturday 17th last. It was a night to reflect on the most successful year the club had at under-age level in recent years.
A steely determination was evident in the face of every GBC player as they lined up for the pre-county final photo in Piltown last Saturday. They were there to take on Slieverue, a team that had put up very impressive scores all season. Read more
Please Note: Our Roinn B Minor Hurling Championship county final tomorrow v Slieverue has been changed from Bennettsbridge to Piltown as Bennettsbridge pitch is unplayable after the heavy recent rain. Match is scheduled for the same time of 2pm. Please pass the word around and we would ask everyone to come out and give the lads loads of support.
Traditional winter activities were thankfully put on hold again this weekend, as another GBC team qualified for a County Final. This time it was the turn of the Minors as they took on St. Martin’s in Clara. The boys played with a strong breeze in the first half and after eight minutes they had three points on the board from Philly Cahill (2fs) and Padraic Dunphy. Read more
John Locke Park was like a scene from “Waterworld” on Saturday last when GBC minors took on a highly rated Callan side on their home ground. Graigue started brightly and had a point from Philly Cahill (65) and one from midfield from Colum Prendiville, within six minutes of the throw in before Callan opened their account with two pointed frees.
