2014 Poc Fada

Best of luck to David Maher and PJ Trant who will be representing Graigue Ballycallan GAA club in the 2014 Poc Fada this Thursday 12th June in Gowran Park.

David will be competing in the U16 section which starts at 6pm and PJ will be competing in the Adult section which takes to the track at 7.30pm. The competition takes place over a 1km course down the straight at the Racecourse. The forecast is looking good so it should be great evening’s entertainment. We wish the both well!

Exams!

Graigue Ballycallan GAA Club and St. Brigid’s Camogie Club would like to send best wishes to all students from the parish who are sitting Leaving Cert and Junior Cert exams which start Wednesday 4th June. This can be a stressful time for students and their families so stay strong, take care of yourselves properly and remember it’ll soon be over!

Under 8 Hurling

Update by Niall Egan
Our U8s had matches against Danesfort and O’Loughlins’ Gaels in recent weeks. Playing two 8-aside matches, then swapping over our boys gave a good account of themselves winning 7 out of 8 matches altogether. We take part in the Dicksboro U8 tournament on Saturday, so best of luck to all involved.

The Cube Kilkenny

A great night’s entertainment guaranteed next Saturday (bank holiday weekend) 31st May in The Lyrath Hotel. Our very own John Hoyne will compete in THE CUBE KILKENNY and try to secure €5,000 for our club. This is a fundraiser for Danesfort GAA but will act as a potential fundraiser for one other local club or charity. Tickets are €20 and can be bought from Supervalu Loughboy, Electrocity, Kilkenny People office and from the Lyrath Hotel on the night.
